• Jon’s Homeschool Resources – This is one of the first sites that I found online for homeschooling.  He’s been up and running for over 10 years now, and has a ton of great resources for every homeschooler.
• National Home Education Network – This is one of the few completely non-religious, all inclusive homeschooling organizations that covers all of the United States.  Some of the articles that I have on this site, came from their article database.  They are one of the few organizations that I would recommend to anyone who homeschools, but especially if you are not a fundamentalist Christian homeschooler.  There are few secular organizations, this is one that is truely secular!

Homeschool Buyers Co-op is a resource that I use all the time.  They have great group buying discounts from some amazing vendors, but most importantly they have amazing free stuff!  Clickschooling is affiliated with HBCO, which should give you an idea of how good this site is.  You can also get a completely free Homeschool ID Card for you and your children.

Although this organization does not have the ability to represent you legally, they are able to help you to figure out your legal action plan.  For those of you who don’t want to join HSLDA (homeschool legal defense association), this is a great alternative!

• 3Moms.com Curriculum-Fair In-A-Box

3Moms.com offers the Curriculum-Fair In-A-Box. It’s a collection of actual samples from the major curriculum publishers. Plus there is some other good stuff too!  This product was created to first help myself figure out the confusing curriculum mess out there. Then I did it for friends as well. The most important is that the right curriculum can light up your child, and make learning fun and effortless. This product is designed so you can actually take a taste-test to find out which curriculum will light up your child! You can taste samples from all the major curriculum companies right in the comfort of your own home.

• Currclick has great digitally downloadable books and curriculum online for great prices! They also have a free download, which is a full book!  Take a look and see what great things they have.

• Surffing the Net With Kids is a great resource. They have a free newsletter that comes out once a week, with new links to free printables and much more. You can join their membership for next to nothing, and get access to even more printables! Here is a sample of some of the things they offer.

• Visit Design-A-Study Kathryn Stout wrote the Design-A-Study guides to provide both a framework of objectives and detailed methods for teaching basic subjects effectively. Having seen the frustration, boredom, and discouragement that too often results from trying to make students fit a curriculum instead of adapting a curriculum to suit them, Kathryn hopes to encourage parents to teach according to each child’s interests and abilities, equipping each one for his very personal future.
