Homeschooler & Author & Giveaway

Author: One of the things that I just love about the internet are all the amazing people you get to learn about. People that you might never get to know any other way. Well tonight is one of those times. One blogger that I just love reading her blogs, Blonde Blogger, has a review blog. Today she wrote a review about a great book, and interviewed the author of the book, Mia King. Guess what? Mia King is not only a successful author of two books, she’s also a homeschooler! And she writes homeschooling into her plots. What an amazing thing for the homeschool community.
Well, to get the word out about her new book, Mia King has allowed the Blonde Blogger to giveaway a gift basket with both of her books as part of the prize. WOOHOO! I want those books, even if I don’t win, I’ll be getting them, but the prize basket also has chocolate in it. Nuff said, right?

Thanks so much for the post and shout out! I know…isn’t it awesome that she weaves homeschooling into her book? I was so thrilled to see her tackle the stereotypes of homeschooling, all without compromising the plot. It was an awesome read! Thanks again so very much for the post!

Stopping by via Twitter, got a message you were following me. I see we have a mutual friend, Becca. Anyway, poked around. My oldest just started kindergarten and while I don’t love everything about public schools I thought we would try and see how it goes with the boys. Personally I wonder if I would be a good homeschool teacher, I can be very structured at work, but not so much at home. Kudos to you, it sounds like you have quite the system. I’ll bookmark you because I do try to teach them “extra” at home and I am sure you will have great info.
