Party On! Ultimate Blog Party #UBP

For those of you who don’t know me, Hello and welcome to The Best HomeSchool Place! My name is Christine, also known as Wyndsong on twitter. I’m a single mom of two boys who I have homeschooled their entire lives.
These are my sons:
Roger – age 15
And
Jack – age 13
Through out the years we’ve used all sorts of curriculum, learning aides, styles, and everything I could get my hands on to homeschool. We’ve changed a lot during these years and learned a lot together. It’s been a great experience for us. For a long time my boys and I lived with my mom and older sister in Southern California. Two years ago my boys and I moved to Las Vegas with my long time boyfriend. That’s been a huge change as well, but it’s been wonderful for all of us.
Here at my homeschooling blog I write about all sorts of things. I give reviews of the latest books, curriculum and websites that I’ve found for homeschoolers, I talk about the trials and tribulations of homeschooling, and I try to bring to the homeschooling community a unique perspective. Being a single mom who continues to homeschool isn’t as unique as you might think, but it’s certainly not the norm either. There are a lot of us out there, which is why I wanted to be as vocal as I could be. So other moms, whether they are already divorced or just thinking about it, they’ll know they are not alone!
I hope you’ll come back to my little corner of the web and see what new adventures the boys and I are getting into! Having a household full of men (yes even our PETS are boys!), is pretty interesting for me, so there are all sorts of trouble we can get into! Come join the fun!

Although I would love ANY of the prizes that are being given at the Ultimate Blog Party, because I may not have a baby or toddler, I have several neices, nephews and friends who do. I may not have a little boy or girl under the age of 13, but I have friends and family who do. And I have several blogs that I wouldn’t mind getting a new design for, love doing any thing crafty and I love reading books of all sorts! So basically if I won SOMETHING!! I’d be happy! LOL! Great intro!! I was a single-parent, homeschooling my four kiddos whilst a full-time student, too. We ARE out there, but no one can believe we’re doing it!! But, for me, it was even more important to keep them close when the poo hit the fan. Glad to meet you. Party on.

Hi! Found you via UBP 09. We are also a homeschooling family, so I am intrigued to read more of your reviews. I applaud you for continuing to homeschool in spite of being a single parent. DH & I have discussed it & if anything were to happen to either of us, we want the other to continue to HS the children. It CAN be done!!
