Las Vegas Homeschool Events
I have to say one of the great things about living here in Las Vegas is the extremely large and active homeschooling community. Not only are there tons of great homeschool support groups, but the laws here in NV are very friendly to homeschoolers! There are also tons of various city wide homeschool events for kids of all ages. I love them so much, that I thought I’d list a few of the great things going on here in my area.

When do we mind our own business?
With the internet comes a lot of wonderful things. People who wouldn’t ever think that there is another person like them in the whole world, find that they are not alone at all. I have found, that I am not the only single parent homeschooling, which I was sure that I was when I first started. Now, I have 4 email lists that are filled with other single moms who homeschool. We’re a small fraction of the homeschooling community, but we’re still growing too. In fact, I just found out yesterday that a local friend had wanted to continue homeschooling when she got divorced, but didn’t know how, and didn’t know there was anyone who was doing it, so felt she couldn’t continue.
