Spring Break?
My sons are counting down the hours till “Spring Break”, which is going to be next week. They are going to be spending the entire week with my mom, because they need some “pampering” and no one does that better than Grandma… and Grandma needs some strong young men to help her around the house right now too. heh! Roger, who “goes” to Odyssey Charter High School, has an actual spring break. He doesn’t have “class” or course work next week, and won’t be going to P.E. But Jack, who is using Time4Learning for his curriculum doesn’t HAVE to go on break at any particular time, or at all for that matter. But I’m letting him not do work next week so he and his brother could do stuff together… like fight over who has control over the T.V. and computer. Read the rest of this entry »
Single, Homeschool & Dating
Three words I thought I’d never see together and three words I never thought would describe me… at least not all at the same time. And yet, 11 years ago that’s where I found myself. Ineveitablly, Jackson is still doing his schoolwork long past the time I officially get “off work”. Mostly because he can’t stop thinking about everything else but school. He plays with the cat, he wanders around the house talking to who ever is or isn’t there. Literally he will spend all day on one math problem. Read the rest of this entry »
Our Bloggiversary
Somehow I lost track of our Bloggy Birthday… probably cuz I had nothing to remind me of it, hence the bloggiversary button over there on the left. The actual date is August 10, and this site is 1 year old now. So, if you look at it like a baby, the 1st birthday really is more for the parents than the little one. SOOO, I’m going to throw a Blog Birthday Party here anyway. SO THERE!
I”m thinking we’ll celebrate it during the month of October, since that’s MY birthday, and my oldest son’s birthday, October is going to be a party month anyway. LOL! So keep coming back, and I’ll put up more details on what’s going to happen and what you’ll be able to win.
